This is a really nice clear case that gets the job done. It attaches very, very tightly, but they posted a video on youtube that shows how to remove the case:[...]It attaches so tightly, that there is a bit of a "moisture" effect underneath the top plastic piece. This isn't a good adjective, but the photo I've attached makes an attempt at displaying what I mean. This is probably due to the high gloss surface of the 3DS. I removed the case once to scrub the 3DS and inside of the case with a microfiber cloth, but reattaching caused the same effect underneath the top plastic piece. This is not a big deal, but I don't have any such issue on my DS Lite case from a different manufacturer. You may be able to avoid this effect by running a tiny bit of baby powder across the 3DS top piece before applying.Yes, as others have said, you can no longer use the Nintendo dock. This should be obvious. One thing to note is that you can't completely open the 3DS with this case attached. Before attaching, you could open and "snap" the 3DS into place, and then even beyond that, you could open it even more and it will "snap" again, almost so that the bottom of the 3DS and the top are completely vertical. With this case, you can only snap it into that first position, but not into that next position beyond - not a big deal.******************************************EDIT: I was contacted by the manufacturer upon writing a review. I wrote the review on Monday, and Wednesday morning there was a replacement case at my house that resolved the issues I had described. The revised case:-Is easier to install and remove - doesn't feel skin-tight anymore-Does not have the "moisture" effect against the 3DS gloss surface-Has a larger opening around the shoulder buttons, stylus, cameras, and cartridge slot-Has a larger opening around the headphone jack, which should now accommodate for the thicker cable style headphones-Now allows the 3DS to open and "snap" into that far-most position-Now covers the IR sensor, when the previous version left it uncoveredI could still see people being happy with the original version since the larger openings and looser fit technically can leave it a bit less protected, but the revised version does address every concern I had previously.Kudos to the manufacturer for staying on top of their products.

I looked at quite a few different clear cases for my 3DS before finally picking this one, and I'm happy I did. I have a purple gameboy ,and I didn't want to cover up the pretty color, so I'm happy I found this one. Reading the reviews, honestly I was ready to be disappointed, so I didn't get my hopes up. But really, this case is great. I seem to have gotten the "new" model, as I have no problems with it fitting too tight. It snapped on easily, and I've taken it on and off a few times just to test it out. It didn't get any scratches in the process like some of the other reviews said. The 3DS has always felt a little small and awkward in may hands, even though I have pretty small hands (for an adult), so I like the extra bulk that the case adds. The stylus is a pain to get, but that's more Nintendo's fault for putting it in a ridiculous location in the first place. This case is obviously not for fall protection. If you're looking for that, go get the Nerf Armor that all the kids have. But it will protect against regular wear n' tear scratching. It does watermark a little bit when you press down on the case, but it corrects itself a a second or two. It's not going to work with the charging dock, obviously, but if you have a problem with that, you really shouldn't be ordering a case in the first place.... R and L are easily accessible (actually, it's more comfortable for me to use them *with* the case on). All in all, a good product. The next test is to see how it looks with a the Gelaskin that I ordered.EDIT: I've had this for a almost two weeks now, and everything I have said previously still stands. However, this scratches very VERY easily. It is COVERED in scratches after being in my purse with my keys. And it's not like I'm swinging my purse around like a nun-chuck, it's just from normal movement. I expected scratching gradually, but not this quickly. So, if you're the type of person that is bothered by this, I would not suggest this product.EDIT AGAIN: I received a Gelaskin for my 3DS today, which is a vinyl-ish sticker that goes over your DS (Website for them is the same URL as the product name, google it -- The skin turned out *awesome*). This case actually works well the the skin. There is no watermarking that I can see, which is wonderful, and with the busy skin on the gameboy I don't notice the scratches that I talked about in my last edit. It actually looks really nice. If you have a skin and you want to give your 3DS a little extra layer of protection, this would be a good case for you. With one exception: The case might (probably will) mess up the edges of your skin if you aren't either very VERY careful or if you've bought a low quality skin. The case has a very tight fit on your gameboy with the skin on. Luckily, I was paying attention when I took the case off, so I was able to fix it, but it was difficult. If you're going to use this case with a skin, it's not something you're going to want to be taking on and off constantly.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.L and R buttons are unusable with this case.
By BeeSol
I ordered the 3ds case on November 26th and received it today on December 3. I noticed that it did have the moisture problem that was spoken about by the previous reviewer, also, that when the 3DS is fully open, the L and R buttons are stuck, and unusable, but when closed, they are fine. I would like to return it and get the new version of a case or something. As a side note, the reason I got the case is because I got the Legend of Zelda Special Edition 3DS and wanted to protect it. I'm pretty disappointed that it didn't work properly.
