First, a few disclosures: I am female. I installed this by myself. My mechanical skills, on a 1 - 5 scale are about a 3. It took me about 30 minutes.Packaging/contents: The outside box that Amazon shipped in was very sturdy. The inside box was NOT, so I can understand how some people have indicated that there was packaging damage. All of my parts arrived.Instructions: Piss poor. Don't bother. The instructions are absolutely horrid, as they are in the original owner's manual for the 4000DS generator itself. Much work is needed here. The pictures are taken from a very poor angle and are too up close. The pictures are also very dark, so you really can't see what you're looking at other than fingers. Finally, there are no labels for the parts shown, just a generic photo of all of them lumped together. You will need to figure out which parts are which. This is not extremely difficult, as I used a process of elimination and figured out the bolts simply by counting the parts. Here's what you will need to do: 1. Use a little common sense and look carefully where all the holes are before starting. (A couple of reviewers mentioned having to drill holes and I note that I did not need to do this; all of the holes were located properly. Also note that I purchased the generator itself from another online retailer.)2. Do an internet search to find a photo of the generator with the wheel kit ALREADY installed. That way, you can see where the wheels and handle are located before starting. A couple of reviews mentioned problems getting the axle over the rubber feet in order to mount the wheels. You DO NOT need to take the rubber feet off! The axle & wheels go on just fine with a clamp or a little elbow grease!Quality of parts: The parts are high quality--the metal is not going to bend at all. The bolts and nuts left something to be desires. I don't know how they made these threads on the nuts in China, but they don't go on very smoothly.Overall comment: I docked the review for the nuts and poor instructions. Overall, I am glad I purchased the kit, as it makes moving a 90 pound generator easy as cake. Anyone who has the generator should purchase this. The price was reasonable. If you're trying to make a buying decision, I say go for it.

Okay here it goes.....Just bought DS4000S generator,without a wheel kit. Didn't take long for me to figure out that an average Joe or Jane just will not be running around with a 100 lb generator without wheels.So I got a set from Amazon.com ,the best on line shopping place in my humble opinion. A simple mounting instruction came with it(one page). Now this would be sufficient if there are no glitches but in my case there was a problem. My generator frame was lacking a pair of wholes that would mount the left side support leg holes.I specifically ordered this wheel kit to achieve a no problem no glitch quick installation. That didn't work out, so I had to drill a pair of holes on the bottom of the left side. Not easy eat all with a 100 lb generator fueled up.It took me 38 minutes for the complete job with the drilling. Not bad but I wasn't to happy about the extra work.If anybody cared, I would have one more picture on that assembly and mounting instruction. And that would be a good photo of the completed work from the bottom of the generator. That way people would know right of way if they need to drill an extra set of mounting holes in the frame.DuroStar DS4000S-WK Wheel Kit for DS4000S

Possible the least helpful instructions I've had the displeasure of decoding. Please know that you install the wheel axle OVER the plastic nubs on the base of the generator. Best to just flip the generator upside down before installing. Finally, an adjustable wrench and / or a set of metric wrenches / ratchet set is highly recommended for assembling this thing.
