Exactly what I expected...

I bought this game and have been playing it for two days. The graphics are just what I expected. They are good for the ds, but they would not be acceptable on another gaming device or console. I like how the ball parks look accurate. I went to Great American Ball Park last summer, and when I played the Reds in the game it looked just like the real park. There is enough attention to detail that I feel like a good job was done overall.The controls work very well for this game. While pitching, it is easy to set up where the ball will be aimed. Then a pitch must be selected based on who is pitching. There might be anywhere from three to five pitches to choose from, each with its own button. If playing defense on manual, it is easy to select the player in the outfield to catch or go after the ball, and then throwing to one of the four bases corresponds to either A,B,Y, or X. Batting is fairly easy as well. There is a regular swing, a power swing, or a bunt. You can also move a cursor to predict where the ball is going to go during the pitch. This adds an extra boost if done correctly.The actual gameplay is fun. Some have complained that, during defense, the players are represented by dots with numbers on them. I don't see how that is an issue. This is the ds, after all. It is an easy system, and it doesn't take away from the fun. Some have also complained of a freeze during the game. I have experienced minor freezes during gameplay, but it wasn't enough to cause problems. It normally happened right before the opponent would take a swing. It might happen three or four times during a game, but it never compromises the fairness of the game. It never causes me to miss a ball or anything. I enjoy the announcers during the game. It makes it feel like a real baseball game is going on inside my ds.Overall, this is an entertaining game for any baseball fan. I really started getting into baseball last year, but I am by far no expert. I know the names of the Braves, but other than that I am more limited. I like that the player can see stats and information for any player in the game, and it is all very detailed. This game is actually a good way to become more familiar with baseball and baseball players. It is great in the handheld version because people can play a few innings on a lunch break at work or something. One doesn't have to play an entire nine inning game every time. Pick it up if you want an entertaining baseball game on the go. Even if you aren't a baseball expert, it is still fun and easy to get into.

Great game

I purchased this game last month and found it to be great. It's very easy to play the games from an individual game to a full season. I like that the player rosters have been updated. I really enjoy playing the games. The graphics are very clear. I highly recommend this game to everyone.

Buggy

I started a season and played my first game - but when it was over the system froze. So I did it again - it froze again. So it seems to have a major bug.
